In today’s competitive sports world, soccer game is more popular and hence the need for coaches to conduct soccer training programs for kids is increasing day by day. Soccer coaches should understand and motivate the kids and always try to keep the soccer training program session interesting with fun. While giving soccer training to kids, coaches should consider certain things that can impress kids.

Soccer coaching skills and strategies

Every coach in the soccer training program should provide coaching in a different way as kids come to the training session with an intention to have excitement and fun. Kids will lose interest and will not enjoy the game if the coach makes the game look serious. Hence coach should not be too strict and not too light as well. It is better for coach to avoid long lectures and focus on some of the interactive games, drills for soccer, etc to make the kids attracted and engaged. Coaches should explain the soccer briefly to kids and allow them to run around and play.

Dribbling and shooting

In Soccer training programs, soccer drilling method is one the effective ways which can improve dribbling and shooting skills for kids. In this method, the coach should line up the kids in a single goal line and ensure that he has scattered large number of balls over the soccer field. Now he should allow the kids to move towards these balls, pick the balls and put it into the goal on the opposite side. If there are more number of kids to practice this soccer drilling and shooting method, then the coach should split up them into two groups. Both the groups should be allocated one or two goal keepers and these goal keepers take care of giving opportunities to all the kids for practicing this simple drill method.

Other soccer coaching tricks

To get started with kids, the coaches can perform other soccer training programs and strategies such as fun soccer conditioning, circuit training and making use of soccer coaching drills. Soccer coaches can advice kids to warm their bodies by going for a small round for jogging or running. This can help the kids to identify their limit and they do not exceed the limit. Often kids faint when they exceed their limit. Coaches should ensure that they make the kids to take small breaks in between which can help the kids to refresh and pep up.

Best answer:

Answer by minnie
well, I guess just some long distance running every now and then to keep up endurance, sprints to work on speed, push-ups sit-ups lunges…. for conditioning, but i would also keep touches with the ball, like taking shots on goal or dribbling at the park or something.

The best NCAA College Basketball Coaches have the uncanny ability to get their players motivated for “Big” games and throughout the entire season. Here’s a list of some of NCAA basketball’s best coaches:

John Thompson- coached the mighty Georgetown Hoyas (“Hoya Paranoia”) to multiple NCAA championships, and 2 of the most dominant centers in NCAA and NBA history; Patrick Ewing and Alonzo Mourning. Coach John Thompson’s influence on the game of basketball is evident by his former player, Patrick Ewing’s induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Typically when a player is inducted into the Hall of Fame and included in the realms of such great basketball talent, it’s a direct reflection of their coach, such is the case with former Georgetown University Coach and former Boston Celtic- John Thompson, one of the best collegiate coaches in basketball history. Coach Thompson’s best collegiate coaching days were in the Big East Conference against the likes of…Syracuse University, St. John’s University, Boston College, Providence College, Villanova University and Pitt University (alma mater of former NFL Dallas Cowboy- Tony Dorsett). John Thompson- Georgetown Hoyas
Dean Smith- The former University of North Carolina Head Basketball Coach has coached the like of Michael (“Air”) Jordan, James Worthy, Vince Carter, Kenny (“The Jet”) Smith, Rasheed Wallace, Jerry Stackhouse, Joe Wolf and many more! Dean Smith and his famous “4-Corner Offense” of the mid to late 1980′s was popularized by the teams including Michael (“Air”) Jordan, James Worthy, Brad Daugherty, Sam Perkins, Kenny (“The Jet”) Smith and others, symbolized by “UCLA-like” backdoor cuts and Slam Dunks by Jordan and UNC teammates. Dean Smith, a master recruiter with an extremely high NCAA basketball winning percentage-that makes for a great coach! Coach Dean Smith’s best collegiate coaching days were in the ACC Conference against the likes of…North Carolina State University, University Maryland, Duke University (Alma Mater of Phoenix Suns Guard- Grant Hill), Wake Forrest University (Alma Mater of San Antonio Spurs Center- Tim Duncan & New Orleans Hornets Guard- Chris Paul), University of Virginia (Alma Mater of former NBA player- Ralph Sampson), Florida State University (Alma Mater of Heisman Trophy winning Quarterback- Charlie Ward, who starred for the NBA’s New York Knicks, with teammates Patrick Ewing, Chris Childs, John Starks, Charles Oakley, and Anthony Mason), and Clemson University (Alma Mater of former teammate of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls- Horace Grant). Dean Smith- North Carolina Tar Heels
John Cheney- The former NCAA basketball coach of the Temple University Owls (Alma Mater of the great Bill Cosby ‘Fat Albert & the Cosby Kids’, was famous for his early morning basketball practices! Coach John Cheney was also famous in NCAA basketball for winning! His Temple University basketball teams dominated the Atlantic 10 conference, year-after-year. Past players include; Eddie Jones and Aaron McKie. Coach Cheney is also noted for his extraordinary recruiting ability, especially in the inner cities. Last but certainly not least… similiar to Coach John Thompson, Coach Cheney has produce many college degrees, which is very often an attribute of NCAA basketball coaches that is not given credit! Coach John Cheney’s best collegiate coaching days were in the Atlantic 10 Conference against the likes of…UMass (John Calipari), University of Rhode Island (Lamar Odom), LaSalle University (Alma Mater of my former Junior College Basketball Coach at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon- Verick Cutler), and St. Bonaventure (Alma Mater of Former NBA “left-hander” and Milwaukee Bucks Center- Bob Lanier). Coach John Cheney- one the NCAA basketball’s great coaches. John Cheney- Temple Owls

John Wooden- former coach of UCLA (Bill Walton & Kareem Abdul-Jabbar), John Wooden sustained dominance throughout his tenure of the UCLA Bruins, winning countless NCAA basketball championships and producing professional basketball players every year in Westwood. John Wooden UCLA Coaching statistics include: 4 undefeated seasons and 10 national championships- that’s alot of winning. And on top of it all, stands his fromer center (Lew Alcindor), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s All-Time Leading Scorer! Coach John Wooden has books which can be found in local libraries as well as Barnes & Noble Book Stores! He was one of the greatest coaches of college basketball history! Coach John Woodens’s best collegiate coaching days were in the then Pacific 8 Conference (now PAC-10)! Interesting Fact: John Wooden once coached high school basketball in South Bend Indiana, home of the University of Notre Dame “Fighting” Irish! John Wooden- UCLA Bruins
Adolf Rupp- the former NCAA basketball coach of the University of Kentucky, Adolf Rupp was a graduate of Kansas University (Wilt Chamberlain’s Alma Mater). Coach Rupp for whom the University of Kentucky’s Rupp Arena is named, propelled the University of Kentucky to national prominence, during the 1930′s through the 1971-72 seasons (41 seasons). Of collegiate basketball coaches with more than 500 wins, Coach Adolf Rupp had over an 82% winning percentage- the highest winning percentage in college basketball history. Today, the SEC basketball conference plays host to basketball programs such as University of Alabama, University of Arkansas, Mississippi State University, LSU, University of Florida, Ole Miss, University of South Carolina, University of Georgia, Auburn University and University of Tennessee.
Jud Heathcote- the former Michigan State University Head Basketball Coach was famous for his “weave” offense and also famous for producing the likes of Earvin “Magic” Johnson- the NBA 5-Time World Champion. Other past players include Kevin Willis, Scott Skiles Shawn Respert, Thomas Kelly, Mateen Cleaves, Sam Vincent, Jay Vincent, Greg Kelser (of the “Cuff-Dunk” variety!) and many more! The national championship of Michigan State University over Larry Bird’s Indiana State Sycamores was historical as it marked the beginning of one of the most storied player rivalries of NBA basketball history- “MAGIC” Johnson (NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers) & Larry Bird (NBA’s Boston Celtics). Coach Jud Heathcote began his collegiate coaching career at the Big Sky’s University of Montana and his coaching career was highlighted by his 1979 NCAA Basketball Championship broadcasted on NBC by Dick Enberg, in Salt Lake City, Utah, as the Michigan State University Spartans were victorious over Indiana State University.
Mike Krzyzewski- the current Duke University Blue Devils basketball coach has won multiple NCAA basketball championships and is the coach of the USA Men’s Olympic Basketball Team which features the like of Dwight Howard, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and many NBA greats. Coach “K” has coached in 10 NCAA Basketball Final Fours and won back-to-back NCAA basketball championships in 1991 & 1992. Coach “K” Court at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durahm, North Carolina, plays host to some of the most “Rockus” (aka “LOUDEST”) fans in the nation! Many of the Duke University Blue Devils fans camp out near teh stadium, during the week of big ACC Coneference games becasue of the high demand of Duke University basketball tickets. Krzyzewski is one of the wimmingest collegiate basketball coaches in history. Coach K’s former players include: Christian Laettner, Grant Hill, Elton Brand, Carlos Boozer, Bobby Hurley, Jay Bilas, Tommy Amaker, Johnny Dawkins and an endless list of former McDonald’s High-School All-Americans. Coach Krzyzewski is once of the best recruiters in college basketball.
Bobby Dye- one of the best defensive NCAA basketball coaches in NCAA basketball history. Coach Bobby Dye is an eccentric addition to my list of the greatest NCAA basketball coaches ever, because his style of ball control and hard-nosed defense was a tactical basketball approach that could be used to compete against any team in college basketball. Coach Bobby Dye had successful NCAA coaching stints at Cal State-Fullerton and Boise State University (Alma Mater of former NBA/ New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, New Jersey Nets Guard- Chris Childs, former Big Sky Player of the Year- Arnell Jones and International basketball star- Tanoka Beard, and Wilson Foster).
Lute Olson- University of Arizona Wildcats, Head Basketball Coach, Lute Olson has appeared in 4 Final Fours and won the NCAA basketball national championship in 1997 with current NBA guard- Mike Bibby leading the way.
Noblesville, IN (Vocus) December 30, 2008

Seasonal shoppers looking to score big points with the family this holiday season can look to basketball goal supplier basketballgoalstore.com for dramatic discounts on overstocked models of Goalrilla basketball hoops and other brand-name basketball hoops.

“Being the nation’s largest single independent dealer of Goalrilla goals basketball goals has its advantages,” said Brad Riley, owner of basketballgoalstore.com. “For one, our buying power allows us to buy out large lots of basketball hoops that have been discontinued — meaning we can offer these products at a significant discount.”

Riley was quick to point out that a basketball hoop overstock is neither defective nor damaged — merely discontinued by the manufacturer to make way for new basketball goal models or product lines. “Goalrilla goals and other basketball goal manufacturers routinely make minor changes to existing high-quality products — and in some cases, they discontinue a basketball hoop product line altogether.”

In either instance, Riley added, the ability to buy large quantities of the basketball goal models being discontinued or improved upon — overstocks — translates into substantial savings for internet customers. “The important thing to remember is these supplies are limited, generally speaking. And for our popular Goalrilla goals, quantities can dwindle quickly,” Riley added.

The company website offers significant basketball goal-buying tips, a link to a video question and answer, an internet price match guarantee, goal accessories like pole pads, and a wide range of basketball hoops — as well as a complete listing of the latest overstock models available.

When you join soccer training from your school, you will be introduced to various types of techniques when you play the sport. One of the most important characteristics of soccer trainings is learning the basic principles of kicking the ball. It is important to know the various kicks use by most professional players in a game. In a soccer drill, you’ll be taught to perform various soccer kicks that are dependent on where the ball is positioned, and how you will react with the ball when it comes in contact with your body. With the help of this article, you will learn to explore the most common kicks used by soccer players during trainings and scheduled games.

The first in line is the volley kick; it is a type of kick that requires something strategic. These kicks are executed out when the ball is off the land. This signifies that the player must practice different balancing techniques especially in ball handling. It is important to guarantee that you’re in a proper distance from the ball when executing a volley kick. If you don’t have the proper balance and proper distance when executing the kick then the kick will be unsuccessful. The player will suffer many injuries on the field when the volley kick was not executed properly within the approximate distance.

As a player, you should be aware of your distance and the two instances in which the volley kick was unsuccessful. The first circumstance is when the ball extends too faraway from your body. It has 99.9% chance that you will miss the soccer ball when you’re too far away from attempting to execute a volley kick. In this type of situation are more likely to get injured because you are forcing your body to strike in an awkward position at high speed. If you allow yourself more time to adjust rather than to execute to hit the soccer ball than you are likely to be injured.

The second basic principle of kicking during soccer training drills is the ground kick. It is important that you have to control over the foot that you are preparing to kick the ball, and the foot that is being utilized to support your body while executing the kick. When it comes to soccer trainings, practicing the proper kicking of the ball ensures that you realize that both feet and legs have a massive part in performing ground kicks. When executing a ground kick during soccer training drills, pay special attention to your feet and legs.

The last basic rule of kicking is you have to lean back when you wish to kick the ball that is a little bit lower, and if you wish to kick a slow ball, you should lean forward. Just remember that trainings you have been and all the hard practice in attempting to execute a powerful kick.

Fort Myers, FL (PRWEB) November 23, 2005 -–

Baseball America’s All-Star Fantasy Camps (formerly Diamond Dreams) is pleased to announce a first in baseball fantasy camp history, a special tribute to Japanese American baseball legends.

Kerry Yo Nakagawa, internationally recognized baseball historian, author, and filmmaker will join Hall of Famers Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson, Fergie Jenkins and former all-stars Bill Campbell, Darrell Evans, George Foster, Tony Oliva and Pete Rose at the “Path of Legends” fantasy camp on January 10-15, 2006 at the world-famous Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida.

“Baseball will have an international flavor in 2006,” said Bob Dowdell, President of Baseball America, Inc. “The year marks the 70th anniversary of the Nippon (Japan) Baseball League and the inaugural season of the World Baseball Classic. The foundation for both of these events was laid by the efforts of Japanese American baseball pioneers.

Through Kerry’s presence, our campers will learn first-hand about an important and often overlooked part of baseball history,” said Dowdell.

Kerry is the author of Through a Diamond: 100 Years of Japanese American Baseball. In addition, he is the founder of the non-profit Nisei Baseball Research Project (NBRP), founding curator of the Diamonds in the Rough: Japanese Americans in Baseball exhibition and is a consultant to the prestigious Baseball Hall of Fame tour entitled Baseball as America.

In 2002, Kerry joined Buck O’Neil, Sharon Robinson and Roberto Clemente Jr. in a National Baseball Hall of Fame live satellite classroom that outreached to 20 million students across the U.S. His lecture tour includes venues at UC Santa Barbara, Ball State University, the Davies Forum at the University of San Francisco, National SABR Conventions and other venues of museums, schools, clubs and organizations around the country.

Kerry completed a documentary entitled “Diamonds In The Rough: Legacy of Japanese American Baseball,” narrated and hosted by Oscar-nominated actor, Pat Morita. He is also the associate producer of the film about baseball inside the Japanese American internment camps during WWII with Shadowcatcher Entertainment, entitled, “An American Pastime.” Based on his book and documentary, he also co-produced a teachers’ curriculum guide/education kit for high school students with Stanford University/SPICE. More than 12,000 students benefit from the curriculum annually.

He has chaired tributes with major league baseball clubs in recognizing Nisei ‘Pioneers’ with the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland A’s, Arizona Diamondbacks, Fresno Grizzlies and Sacramento RiverCats.
Everyday living requires us to engage in activities that will help keep our mind and body fit. Here, your interest in sports can be so useful as it can be a form of enjoyment and a form of exercise as well. One sport that can become your passion is table tennis. Believed to have started in Victorian times, table tennis has never failed to become one of the most popular sports across the globe. Have you tried playing table tennis at least once in your life? If not, then read the following facts and see for yourself why you should try doing it now.

Fact #1: Like I have said, sports keep your mind and body fit. Table tennis will keep you healthy as you sweat while playing this game. Body wastes are released through sweating and we all know that waste release is good for our health. Playing table tennis also keeps our minds sharp. It will allow you to strategize and make game plans of your own.

Fact #2:Playing table tennis keeps you socialized. You get to mingle, meet and greet new and old friends, families, and co-workers while playing this game. Sportsmanship and healthy competition will be developed in playing table tennis. It can also be a good bonding activity with your loved-ones.

Fact #3: Unlike golf or tennis, table tennis will make you save bucks because it does not require expensive sporting gears on. Just having a ping-pong ball anywhere and a good paddle that is inexpensive, you’ll definitely won’t lose fortune in playing this sport.

Fact #4: Anyone and everyone can play table tennis. Age and gender is no issue when you play table tennis. The thrill and enjoyment is much more important than any other aspects in the game.

Fact #5: Table tennis is absolutely a game to enjoy yourself! Playing table tennis can be a hell of fun! It is easy to play and is never ending in giving you much more reasons to play. Also, table tennis can be not just a sport, but a lifestyle! Rise to the challenge and see that it’s something you’ll always enjoy.

You can go check the ping-pong table and carry along the paddle and play right away. Actually you can easily have a ping pong table inside your house. However, learning the ropes like a pro will bring you the edge and another kind of experience in playing table tennis. You don’t need to spend on trainer’s fee. You can learn and master table tennis through a lot of materials.

In having table tennis DVD’s in the comfort of your home, you will not only save on trainer’s fee, but will also know the secrets the master in table tennis have been all keeping all their games. So, ramp on those ping-pong tables, bring on your rackets, and start living the table-tennis thrill! You are definitely not going to regret it. Soon you will be a table tennis addict!

by The Library of Congress

You may have recently heard about an independent baseball team near where you live, or near where you were traveling. If so, you may have wondered what makes a team “independent” and if it is worth your money to go watch that team.

An independent professional baseball team is a team which plays in a professional baseball league that is not affiliated with any Major League organization or the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues, which is now named (officially) Minor League Baseball. These teams have complete control over the players they sign, the personnel they hire, and their players can be signed by any “affiliated” team in Minor League Baseball.

Occasionally, an independent baseball player may make it to a Major League Baseball roster after having started his career in the independent baseball leagues. Many players who make it to a Major League roster after having spent time with an independent baseball team usually had previous Major League, or high-level Minor League experience prior to joining a Major League Baseball roster.

For the 2009 season, nearly 60 independent teams fielded a team in 8 independent leagues. The teams play in the U.S. and Canada. There are independent baseball teams in the Northeast, Quebec, Calgary, California, the Mid-Atlantic, Texas, Arizona, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota and the Dakotas, just to name a few regions. The players can range from just out of college, former “affiliated” minor league players who were released, players who could be in the minors but opted to play closer to home for family reasons, former Major League players, and occasionally international players. Many teams have managers and coaches whom have previous Major League Baseball experience.

The question you may still have, however, is if an independent baseball team is worth your time and money. In most markets this is a “yes.”

Here are just some of the reasons why:

Prices are usually equal to or less than comparable entertainment, such as the movies
Concession prices are usually less than at higher-level professional sports
Kids and fans get participate in on-field and off-field promotions
Many teams offer incentives for you to bring groups
Many of the general managers and team executives have years of professional sports experience, so they understand what it takes to give you good entertainment for your money
Many of the players are accessible for autographs
The quality of play is considerably high, especially compared to other alternatives you may have in your area

Hopefully this article gives you a better understanding of independent baseball and helps you make a better decision for your entertainment dollar.

by The Library of Congress

If you have attended an independent professional baseball game then you know that the level of play is equivalent to different levels of the regular “affiliated” Minor Leagues. What is not known by many fans, however, is how little money many of the independent baseball players make.

Unlike many jobs across North America, independent baseball players do not have a union or company department like Human Resources. They can be released almost at any time, for almost any reason, and there is usually nothing in their contracts which guarantees any sort of payment after players retire. When told all about this, many fans say, “Why would these players do that?!?”

Here are a few of the reasons:

A genuine love of the game: Many players in independent baseball believe that they have been overlooked by the Major League teams’ scouting departments. They genuinely believe that they deserve a chance to be in an “affiliated” farm team with one of the Major League organizations; and they truly love playing baseball. Many fans whom have attended independent baseball games comment on the hustle and passion of the players. A player who believes that he was overlooked may play with a “chip on his shoulder” in order to prove that he belongs with a Major League-affiliated farm team.

A need to be closer to home: Often, there are a few guys in each independent league who genuinely belong in a higher level of baseball. For whatever reason, however, they need to be closer to home with a less-grueling travel schedule. Sometimes players just started a family, others need to help out with a sick family member, and others need the support of friends and family in order to be comfortable with playing at the professional level.

A desire to continue his career in baseball: Many players will play in an independent baseball league in order to gain credibility for his post-playing career. Certain players want to manage or coach in professional baseball, others want to coach at the college level, and others want to transition to the front office of a professional sports team after they retire.

A need for camaraderie: If you have ever watched any documentary about “life in the minors” then you know that the players love playing baseball, enjoy crazy antics with their teammates, playing cards in the clubhouse, and the chance to develop lifelong friends especially on those long bus trips! If a player is good enough to be considered professional then many will take the opportunity to play in the independent leagues because he knows how competitive the demand is. Other players from around the continent are more than willing to take his spot, so he knows that he part of an elite level of baseball even though it is considered to be independent of the affiliated organizations.

A chance to rebuild his career: Sometimes an extremely talented player ends up in an independent league due to an injury, salary cap move, or simply due to “politics” in organized baseball. Such a player will play on an independent baseball team in order to prove to scouts that he is healthy, willing to go back at a more economical price, or simply that the other team which released him made a mistake. In a given year, dozens of players in independent baseball sign contracts with affiliated Minor League teams; and each year a few will get to play in the Major Leagues.

The next time you see an independent baseball game, or if you meet some independent baseball players around town, now you have a better understanding of why they do what they do regardless of the price at which they play. If you ever have said that you think pro athletes need to play with more passion and that they are overpaid, then be sure to attend an independent pro baseball game.
Sports medicine offers a challenging field of work varying from injury prevention to treatment and recovery. In addition to the many medical career choices, there are many developing fields of alternative sports therapy.

When a player suddenly faints and falls while playing, there are a few people that try to revive him or put him on a stretcher and take him off the field. This job is little known by spectators. Among the group could be a doctor, a fitness instructor, or an orthopedist. All are branches of the same stream of medicine, known as sports medicine.

In the world of sports, an athlete’s fitness and physical well being play a major role in his sports career. Not only his diet and fitness but also his medical capabilities to overcome stress are winning factors. Diagnosing the right ailment and taking care of the performance of the athlete is the basic job of the sports medical professional.

Let’s take a look at this career in a broader perspective.

Eligibility

-Preferably an individual with science background with additional knowledge of sports
-High school diploma (with science subject)
-4 years’ bachelor’s degree in science or science subjects in the curriculum
-MDs and surgeons have additional requirements based on their specialty

Specialization In Sports Medicine

There are different specializations in the field of sports medicine; for example, exercise physiology, physical therapy, orthopedics, sports nutrition, biomechanics, etc. These specializations have different requirements. For example, in orthopedics, a master’s degree is required.

Major areas of specialization include:

-Coaching
-Science of Exercise
-Physical, as well as Athletic Training
-Health & Physical Fitness Promotion

The name of the course and its curriculum varies across colleges and universities.

Jobs

Some of the prominent jobs in the field of sports or exercise science are as follows:

-Dietician: The job of a dietician is to plan the diet for an athlete and decide on his intake of essential nutrients. The dietician should have an American Dietetics Association (ADA) approved internship and a certification.

-Fitness instructor: A fitness instructor works either in the gym or on a regular job for a sports team. He works along with the fitness team, which includes the physical therapists, coaches, exercise physiologists, etc.

-Exercise physiologist: They are the personnel who monitor the effect of exercise on the athlete’s body. The exertion, good and bad effects of the same are responsible for the athlete’s health.

-Medical Physician: A medical physician is qualified to diagnose and treat an athlete in case of an emergency. Depending on their qualifications, medical physicians are hired. They mostly work in the medical team or are practicing doctors in hospitals.

Biomechanist, occupational physiologist, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation specialist are some of the other jobs available.

Salary

Salary differs from profession to profession, and the experience one has in the field. Generally professionals make more money when they specialize in specific areas of practice.

Tips On A Career In Sports Medicine

-Include science subjects like biology, physics, and anatomy as part of your school/college curriculum.
-Do background research on the available colleges and their costs.
-Decide on the college according to your area of specialization.
-Develop contacts with sports teams and instructors; it is easier to know about the various streams of sports medicine through them. It is also good for networking purposes, which will be helpful while getting an internship/trainee job with a sports club or team.
-If you enjoyed playing the sport, you will also enjoy attending to the players. Developing a liking for the game will also heighten your interests.

Like any other career, sports medicine requires education, experience and dedication to excellence. The field of sports medicine is growing, and even though it is a part of the discipline of medicine, it is different and can offer a lively environment to work in. If you enjoy sports, you should consider sports medicine.

Injuries happen and in sports, they happen more frequently! When they do happen, you want to be able to recover quickly and get back in the game and sports medicine will help you.

Sports medicine is a field of medicine which concentrates solely on the injuries derived from sports such as football, baseball, basketball, and other sports. There are many different kinds of sports injuries and this range means that there have to be several kinds of doctors and specialists. Sports medicine also involves the work of researchers looking into the various ways to help all kinds of injuries, corporations who endorse the athletes and also help out with the costs of sports medicine and of course the family and the athlete himself who has to aid in the process. Sports medicine is a broad field as a result, but this means that you can find help for your own injuries no matter what kind you have.

Sports medicine is very important when you are any sort of athlete, even in non-professional spheres. This is because sports injuries cause a great deal of damage to your body which will swiftly turn to long term damage if it isn’t dealt with properly. For example, fractures can lead to problems like permanent joint pain, arthritis, and general aches and pains. Bones that aren’t set properly or rehabilitated properly will have far less mobility and will ruin your ability to play sports. And more serious injuries that take a long time to heal means that you need help to get your muscles and bones back in working order which also requires the skills of someone who is in the field of sports medicine.

Sports medicine is also about the prevention of future injuries. For example, your doctor will go over ways to avoid injuries in the future, risk factors to avoid, and things to do that will strengthen your body and make you less prone to future injuries. You may have to tweak your diet, exercise differently or simply exercise more caution in the field! Your doctor will also tell you any diet changes you need to make to compensate for the healing process.

Sports medicine is also about you though. You need to put yourself and your needs before the needs of the team and take the time to care for yourself. This benefits you because you can concentrate solely on your injury and getting well which means you’ll get better faster and be able to get back to what you love doing. Your family should also support you in your efforts to get better by making certain you go to your sessions and stay on target with goals. At the end of the process, you will feel empowered as well as healed and this mind set is important for getting back in the game.

Sports medicine is very important to any athlete of any skill level. Getting injured is never fun and sports injuries are some of the worst injuries for your body because they cause a lot of long term damage that will ruin your sports chances later on in life, not to mention lower your quality of life. Make certain that if you get injured, you get help from someone who is specialized in sports injuries so that you get the help you need and thus can fully recover with no side effects or damage later on in life.

Best answer:

Answer by biscuit
in order to get accepted into a medicine college in the US you have to finish a bachelor’s degree in any major you like with a pre medicine program. so that means it takes almost 11 years to become a doctor, are you really willing to do that?
